Deep Rest - Sound MeditationStep away from the noise of everyday life and immerse yourself in an hour of soothing sounds, deep relaxation and restorative rest. This nurturing monthly session offers you the opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself and leave feeling calmer, lighter and more grounded. Deep Rest Sound Meditation with Nicky Underwood Take a pause from the demands of everyday life and allow yourself the opportunity to rest, restore and simply be. Nicky Underwood is an HCPC-registered Music Therapist and Sound Healing Practitioner who has dedicated her life to music, wellbeing and education. Drawing on years of professional experience, she creates immersive sound experiences using a carefully selected collection of therapeutic instruments to support deep relaxation and inner stillness. Each session is a gentle invitation to slow down, turn your attention inward and reconnect with yourself. As you settle into a state of rest, the soothing sounds and vibrations of quartz crystal singing bowls, handpan, flute, tuning forks and other resonant instruments create a calming soundscape designed to help quiet the mind and relax the body. Many people find that the experience helps to ease stress, release tension, improve sleep quality and encourage a profound sense of peace and wellbeing. The rich vibrations of the instruments can be felt throughout the body, supporting deep relaxation and creating space for reflection, balance and restoration. No previous meditation experience is needed. Simply come as you are and allow yourself to be held by the sounds. Following the session, you're warmly invited to stay for a cup of herbal tea, giving yourself time to gently ground before returning to the rest of your day. What to bring: Yoga mat Blanket Cushions or a pillow Water bottle Anything else that will help you feel warm, supported and comfortable I look forward to welcoming you. Is a sound meditation suitable for everyone?Sound meditation is generally a safe and relaxing experience for most people. However, please read the following guidance before booking. Please contact me before attending if you: Are in the first trimester of pregnancy. Have epilepsy or a history of seizures. Have a diagnosed severe mental health condition, such as psychosis, or are currently experiencing acute symptoms. Have a sound-sensitive neurological condition that may be triggered by certain frequencies or vibrations. Have recently undergone major surgery or have any condition where deep relaxation or sound vibration may not be appropriate. Have any implanted medical devices (such as a pacemaker). While most instruments are acoustic and non-electrical, it is advisable to seek guidance from your healthcare professional if you are unsure. As an HCPC-registered Music Therapist, creating a safe, supportive and welcoming environment is at the heart of every session. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to discuss any individual needs before booking.
