Returning Home: Somatic Movement and Embodied Meditation Join us for a gentle and nourishing practice designed to help you step out of the busy mind and reconnect with the wisdom of your body. Each session begins with guided somatic movement. Slow, mindful, intuitive movements that help release tension, regulate the nervous system, and increase awareness of what is happening within. Rather than focusing on performance or flexibility, somatic movement invites us to listen to our bodies, reconnect with our feelings, and cultivate a greater sense of ease and presence. From this grounded place, we'll move into an embodied meditation practice rooted in seven fundamental techniques that have been taught within the Buddhist tradition for thousands of years. Through a blend of breath awareness, visualisation, sensory awareness, mantra, and other timeless practices, you'll be guided to deepen your connection with yourself and develop a greater sense of calm, clarity, and inner balance. Somatic movement and embodied meditation complement one another beautifully. By first settling into the body through movement, we create the conditions for a deeper meditation experience; one that feels less like "doing" and more like coming home to ourselves. The session will close with an opportunity to share reflections, insights, or experiences within a supportive and welcoming space, although sharing is always optional. This class is suitable for anyone seeking greater calm, self-awareness, emotional wellbeing, or a deeper connection with themselves. No previous experience of movement or meditation is necessary. Your facilitator, Pippa, is an IMMA-certified meditation teacher, qualified personal trainer, nutrition and wellbeing coach. Drawing on her experience working within the NHS, alongside her own journey of navigating chronic pain through yoga, somatic movement, and meditation, she offers a compassionate, trauma-aware approach that honours each person's unique experience. Come as you are, move as you need, and leave feeling a little more connected to yourself.
