The Community Garden, St James' Church, Islington
Join Women On Our Way for a morning of meditation, gardening and creative reflection in the community garden at St. James Church, Islington. As summer reaches its peak and the season begins its gradual shift towards harvest, we'll spend the morning getting our hands dirty, slowing down and discovering what the garden can teach us about the ecosystems we're all part of. We'll begin with a grounding meditation led by Lucia, founder of Get Dreamt, before Mariana, Urban Permaculturist and Forest School Leader, guides a hands-on gardening workshop. Together we'll explore the garden as a living ecosystem, where every plant, insect, microorganism and person has a role to play. After refreshments, we'll take part in a collective creative practice before gathering for a closing guided meditation. When we slow down, it's often easier to see what's ours to do. Together we'll explore how small actions - whether in our gardens, neighbourhoods or daily lives - can ripple outwards. We'll reflect on how we can nurture our own strengths while recognising the role we each play in supporting the wider ecosystem, leaving with practical inspiration and renewed energy to play our part, celebrating our individuality as something that strengthens the whole. Whether you're new to gardening, meditation or both, this workshop is designed to be welcoming, playful and hands-on. Included Hands-on gardening workshop with Mariana, Urban Permaculturist, Forest School Leader and founder of From Seed We Grow, in the community garden she has helped create alongside local residents.
