Ecstatic Dance & Circling Evening Join us for a cosy evening that brings together Ecstatic Dance and Circling (also known as Transformational Connection) - two simple but powerful practices for connecting with yourself and others. We begin with music and free-form movement, where you can move your body in any way that feels natural - no steps to learn, no experience needed. This helps you relax, get out of your head, and land more fully in the present moment. From there, we gently transition into Circling - a guided group experience where we slow down and explore and verbally share what it’s like to be ourselves, here and now, in connection with others. This practice deepens self-awareness, aliveness, and the capacity to relate to ourselves and others in a more conscious and grounded way. Whether you’re completely new to these practices or already familiar, you’re warmly invited to come as you are. 🌊 Ecstatic Dance We’ll begin with a guided movement journey to help you drop into your body and ease into the space. Rather than focusing on how it looks, the invitation is to follow your own experience - whether that’s energy, emotion, stillness or rest. You might find yourself moving freely, slowing down, connecting with others, or simply taking time to observe. After a short optional facilitated warm-up (with meditation, solo warm-up, boundary management and connection exercises), the main part of the experience begins with gentle music, gradually building into energetic, uplifting beats, and then winding down into softer, grounding sounds, creating a natural journey through movement. You have the freedom to dance entirely on your own or to connect and share movement with others if it feels right in the moment. To support a safe and immersive atmosphere, we keep a few simple agreements: No talking on the dance floor No phones, no alcohol Respect boundaries (non-verbal consent for touch) Move in your own way - there’s no right or wrong Care for yourself, others, and the space 🎧 Example set: https://www.mixcloud.com/dj_flow_dance/dear-inner-child/ 💛 Circling After a short break, we move into Circling - a relational awareness practice centred on the question: “What is it like to be you right now?” Rather than discussing ideas, we explore what is actually happening in the moment (body sensations, emotions, thoughts, impulses), and explore these as they unfold in real time, without trying to fix or change them. You might hear reflections like: “I notice warmth in my chest hearing you say that,” or “Part of me feels nervous being seen right now.” Circling blends mindfulness, authentic relating, and emotional awareness. It can feel grounding, playful, vulnerable, surprising, and deeply human. While it isn’t therapy, it’s often experienced as meaningful and transformative. There is no expectation to share or be vulnerable, and while the intention is to support presence and relational awareness, strong emotions can arise, so please only join if you feel able to care for yourself in this setting and reach out beforehand if unsure. ✨ Is This For You? This evening may resonate if you’re drawn to movement, embodiment, meditation, authentic relating, and honest human connection. All levels of dance and circling experience are welcome. You’re always free to go at your own pace, take breaks, or step out when needed, as these practices value personal choice, agency, and encourage you to stay attuned to your own needs and boundaries throughout. ⏰ Schedule 18:45 – Doors open 19:00 – Opening circle 19:15 – Ecstatic dance 20:35 – Break 20:45 – Circling 21:50 – Closing 22:00 – Finish Please arrive on time so we can begin together. 🎟 Tickets £19 – Low Income & Early Bird tickets(until June 16th) £23 – Standard tickets (available until June 21th) £25 – Supporter & Late tickets (bought after June 21th) No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
